Our History
It all started over sixty years ago...
P.Lavin and Sons is a family-run business which was started in 1955 by Paddy Lavin and his wife Anne. Paddy started out driving a Volkswagen van around the highways and by-ways of Kildare and West Dublin delivering for Palmgrove Ice Cream.
As well-known brands such as Mars, Cadburys, Nestle and Haagen Dazs entered the ice cream industry, the market expanded and the company grew to meet the demand, all the while maintaining the high standard of customer service and reliability with which Lavins had become synonymous.
P.Lavin and Sons also takes immense pride in sourcing and delivering the highest quality indigenous brands available. In more recent times they have added leading Irish names such as Murphys of Dingle, Morellis, Silver Pail Dairy and Nóbó, some of which make up the premium selection they have to offer.
Today the business is run by sons Martin, Pádraig and Alan.
